It’s been a loooooong time coming – believe me, I know! But I’m hoping it was worth the wait. Making a Scene is now available on Smashwords and All Romance eBooks in .mobi (for Kindle), .epub (for Nook and most other e-readers) and .pdf (best for online reading). EDIT: It’s now also up on iTunes, Amazon US, Amazon UK, Barnes & Noble and Kobo.
Here’s the blurb to whet your appetite!
Figuring him out…
Returning to work after her erotic fairytale weekend of opulence and submission seems frustratingly mundane to Nell West, but she’s hopeful about her newfound submissive relationship with the CEO’s gorgeous son, Marc Cassidy. It seems that Marc can’t get enough of her, either, but after a private moment in his office is interrupted by his hot-tempered father, she hardly sees him for a week. When he discusses his father with her, Marc—usually so Dominant—almost seems afraid. What’s going on behind the scenes in the Cassidy family?
Pushing her boundaries…
After their long week of separation, Marc tells Nell that he wants to try a more intense scene with her. Despite her insecurities about the mysterious blonde woman who keeps showing up around him, Nell agrees to the strict guidelines her Dom sets for the evening. But can she endure all he’s asking of her, physically and mentally, when she has so many unanswered questions?
Just a sneaky peek of what’s to come at the end of the week…
I can now confidently say that I’ll be releasing Hot, Rich and Dominant 4: Making a Scene at the end of this month – that is to say, by 30th June 2013 at the very latest.
It will now be the fourth book of five (Marc’s mysterious issues became unexpectedly darker than expected in this instalment!) but I’m now determined to continue writing in order to get the fifth and final part out by the end of July, a month after the June release date for part four. Since I now have far more time to devote to writing, due to changes in my working life, I’m absolutely certain I can pull this off.
Thank you for your continued nudges and enthusiasm – without them, I wouldn’t have gotten this far. 🙂
I was hoping to have gotten Hot, Rich and Dominant 4 out to you by now, but unfortunately a combination of ill health, my day job and a persistently noisy neighbour have kept me from getting much writing done. After several nudges by different people (and thank you, ALL of you – I feel treasured!) I thought I should make an official post explaining the delay.
At the moment, Nell is mid-funishment (fun punishment, of course) in Marc’s office, waiting impatiently for an orgasm. I know exactly what’s going to happen next, and for the entire rest of the book, and next week I’m going to be writing every day, because I will have cleared this project I’m working on.
The cover is made, the editing doesn’t take long, and it only takes an hour or so to make sure everything’s put together and uploaded. As soon as I have it done, you’ll know.
I really appreciate your patience, especially after the horrible delay between parts two and three. I promise it will NOT be anywhere near that long – no more than two weeks. In the meantime, feel free to let me know what you liked and didn’t like about the first three books – it really helps with a) my motivation and b) improving my work!
Not one, but TWO covers today! 😀
As posted before, the fourth book will become ‘Making a Scene’, which means the title of the third book is now ‘Collars and Dollars’ – it took me ages to come up with, but I couldn’t resist the rhyme. *grin* Check out the pretties below! (And yes, I’ve got a limited number of pics with these lovely models, so unfortunately some of the cover images are going to come up more than once… but cropped differently each time, at least. 😉 It could be worse!)
The release date for the third book, I’ve decided, will be 26th January. Watch this space!
Looks like I’m going to have to re-make some cover art!
If I’m going to get Hot, Rich and Dominant 3 out by the end of this month – which I WILL, if it kills me! – I’m going to have to leave a lot of what I wanted to do until book 4. Which will likely need to be called Making a Scene because book 3 won’t have the ‘scene’ I was thinking about in it.
So book 3 will need to have a different title. Potentially Hot, Rich and Dominant 3 – Almost Perfect, but I’m still not sure about it yet. I might be able to come up with something snappier/more relevant. Suggestions welcome, but no promises I’ll take anyone up on them! As soon as I know, I’ll be correcting my site and cover art.
Yes, I could just make book 3 longer and keep the title… but if I don’t finish a part of this soon I think people will kill start threatening to kill me. It really has been too long since Learning Curve! I can promise book 3 will be at least 10,000 words long, probably a bit longer. I’m already at 7,000 words.
Watch this space for cover art, blurbs and excerpts, coming soon – and if you’re on Facebook, ‘like’ my page and see teaser lines as they appear. 🙂
Just to thank you for your patience and convince you that yes, I am working on Hot, Rich and Dominant 3, here’s a little taste:
The door into the open-plan office swung closed behind us, putting Stella out of earshot, but we stood in the hallway in silence, not looking at each other, watching the numbers on the elevator as it ascended to our floor. I fidgeted, trying to convince myself that I was expecting more than I’d get from Marc this afternoon. Just because he and I had something going on outside the office, that didn’t mean he’d disrupt both of our schedules for a quickie…did it?
The elevator doors opened, revealing an empty interior, and Marc let me step inside first before following. He hit the button for the floor on which his office was located and the doors slid smoothly shut.
The next thing I knew, Marc was pressing me back against the elevator wall with his entire body, tilting my head back to give me a hot, intense kiss. I sighed happily against his lips and surrendered, wrapping both arms around his neck and savouring the taste of his oh-so-talented tongue.
Marc broke off to rest his forehead against mine, and I gazed up into his dark eyes with a mental swoon. “I’ve been dying to do that all day, my sub.”
I couldn’t help it. I grabbed his head and kissed him this time, and he gave a low, approving growl as he dug his fingers into my hips and kissed back. Only the soft ding of the elevator as it reached its destination was enough to tear us apart.
In the now familiar reception area outside Marc’s office, I glanced around for the assistant I’d yet to actually lay eyes on. “Is your PA still on her honeymoon?”
“Apparently they decided to extend it a week, but personally, I think she’s gearing up to quit.” With a gentle yet firm grasp on the back of my neck, he guided me past the empty desk and into his office. “Which I can’t bring myself to care about, because her absence means I can do whatever I like to you in here, and she won’t hear any of it. Kneel.”
I think I need to stop making covers for books I haven’t written yet. But just so you know, it’s in the pipeline!
