I’m welcoming Lucy Felthouse to my blog today. Thanks for being here, Lucy! ~ Amy
When I was in the midst of editing my first anthology, Uniform Behaviour, the last thing on my mind was doing another one. And yet… here I am, having just survived round two and launched Seducing the Myth. So why, might you ask, have I done it all again?
Why, because it’s fun, that’s why! Sure, there are some really crappy bits, like sending out rejections and wrestling with eBook formatting, but the rest more than makes up for it. Things like the excited reactions from the contributing authors when they find out their story is being used, lovely comments from them as they start to read the book, and of course the reaction from the general public. This time round, I’ve noticed lots of interest because of the subject matter – myths and legends. I’m really proud of the anthology I’ve pulled together, especially since it’s so varied.
Seducing the Myth contains stories not only from the popular Greek and Roman periods, but also from Arabian, Arthurian, Hindu, Jewish, Norse, Slavic, Sumerian and Welsh myths and legends. Add in some fairies, mermaids and fertility rituals and you’ve got yourself a real mixed bag. The only thing these tales have in common is they’re all HOT!
I’ve really enjoyed editing this anthology, possibly more than the first time I did it. This time I’ve been able to learn from my mistakes and ensure the experience is an even better and more streamlined one for all involved. Early feedback for the book has been favourable, so let’s just hope it gets as many awesome reviews as Uniform Behaviour has – if not more!
I leave you with the book blurb:
Seducing the Myth: Myths and Legends with an Erotic Twist is a collection of 24 tantalising tales that lead you on a decadent journey through mythologies the world over. As well as stories from the popular Greek and Roman periods, this anthology will also delight you with Arabian, Arthurian, Hindu, Jewish, Norse, Slavic, Sumerian and Welsh myths and legends. Add in a delicious sprinkling of fairies, mermaids and ancient fertility rituals and you have a recipe for a wickedly erotic read!
